What is the proper way to order this Starbucks drink?
My drink at Starbucks is a “Grande Mocha Frappuccino, Affogato-style, no-whip”. The order of the words is changed when it gets repeated to the bar but I can never remember what it is. I want to speak the language more like a native and in the right order. Is there a phrasebook for non-partners? Or an online tool to help me with this?
First the barista says the size and then proceeds to call down the boxes on the side of the cup. However, if the drink is decaf, and or iced – that is called out before the size.
Your drink : ” Grande, Affagato style, no whip, Mocha Frappuccino Blended Coffee”.
Just get a cup and look at the boxes: decaf, shots, syrup, milk, custom, drink……………..say the drink in the order of the boxes from top to bottom.
ex. Decaf (decaf box), triple (shot box), grande (size), vanilla (syrup), non-fat, (milk) extra hot, no foam (custom), Latte (drink).
